Alexander – Out of His Element
I took Alexander from the noise of the city to the quiet of a cornfield. He’s part of the 1% - a man whose story includes drugs, violence, and years behind bars. But on that sunny afternoon, sitting next to me in the car, he was calm. Gentle. Like a lamb.
I wanted to photograph him somewhere unfamiliar, to see what happened when the edges softened. In that open field, stripped of his armor, Alexander didn’t perform - he just was. And that’s where the honesty came in.
This shoot wasn’t about redemption or reinvention. It was about presence. And the way even the toughest stories can carry quiet, too.
